Rhonda Coates brings over 19 years of experience in a variety of senior settings, including Assisted Living Memory Care, rehabilitation and nursing homes. Her compassion for people combined with her passion for business has brought her repeated success. Rhonda is glad to be joining the Watercrest Senior Living team where she can promote her spirit of compassion in a company that embraces servant leadership.

Rhonda began her career as a clinician in the field of Occupational Therapy. She found passion helping seniors with memory impairments and specialized her skills working with those affected by Alzheimer’s disease or a related dementia. Dedication to this population led to a promotion to Director of the Alzheimer’s skilled nursing unit. In this setting, Rhonda was able to successfully combine the need for therapy with specialized care for dementia residents, resulting in high levels of customer satisfaction. “I love working with this very unique and special population, helping not only residents have more meaningful and productive days, but also helping to ease the burden of their family members.”

Rhonda’s success quickly resulted in her next promotion to Director of Memory Care, where she added value by increasing resident satisfaction and financial stability. She was honored as a top performer at company leadership conferences, consistently achieved operational excellence and superior customer satisfaction scores.

Rhonda possesses a Bachelor’s degree from USF in social work and gerontology. She continues to pursue graduate courses and plans to earn a Master degree in gerontology.

Rhonda met her husband Tim on her first day as a student. They have been married for 16 years. Together, they volunteer their time and energy in fundraising efforts for the Alzheimer’s Association and have been repeated members of the Champion Fundraisers Club.

Their latest addition to the family is Max Coates, an apricot toy poodle, and a soon to be registered therapy dog. Max brings, love, companionship and comfort to everyone he meets. Max, Rhonda and Tim all enjoy spending time at the beach, boating, biking and enjoying outdoor living.
